here's the story

DECADES OF DEDICATION AND CENTURIES-OLD CHARM COME TOGETHER TO CREATE THE PERFECT BEGINNING TO AN UNFORGETTABLE STORY.

With a rich history and heartfelt care, our venues radiate the warmth of family love.

In 1990, newlyweds Tom and Marie stumbled upon an abandoned 1927 property built by architect William N. Bowman. Drawn to its vintage charm and brimming with potential, they transformed it into The Dove House—a wedding venue inspired by their own struggle to find the perfect place to celebrate their love. With Marie’s keen eye for design and Tom’s marketing expertise, the couple poured their hearts into renovations, furnishing the space with curated antiques and personal touches. By 1992, The Dove House hosted its first event, quickly becoming a beloved venue in northern Denver.

As demand grew, so did Lionsgate. In 1993, Tom and Marie purchased a neighboring farmhouse, converting it into The Gatehouse to accommodate larger gatherings. Over the years, they continued expanding, transforming the hay stall barn into a grand reception space and later adding The Chandelier Barn in 2017 to provide a stunning indoor option for ceremonies or after-parties. Each addition reflected their commitment to blending historic beauty with modern functionality, creating spaces where love stories could unfold in unique and meaningful ways.

Today, Lionsgate remains a family-owned and operated business. Tom and Marie’s son Steve, along with his wife Alex, have taken the reins, infusing fresh ideas while honoring the venue’s cherished traditions. Marie continues to lend her creative touch through redecorating projects, while Tom enjoys watching the family legacy flourish. With decades of experience, an ever-evolving vision, and a dedication to exceptional service, Lionsgate is more than just a venue—it’s a place where memories are made and love stories are celebrated for generations to come.
